Sony abandons map users after just 2 years

So I've just got my new GPS-enabled camera, only to find that when I display photos on my TV, a message comes up telling me that the map service was discontinued in 2012. So I can't see where my photos were taken, apart from the very crudest level of detail.

2 year old TV set.

Unsupported.

Same here - only it happened on a TV less than a year old. I have 3 Sony TVs and not one of them can now display a proper map.

As you say "thanks a lot Sony". I should have learnt from an earlier TV which had Sony widgets - Sony said new ones would be coming but they never did.

I'll have to think careffully about my next TV purchase!

Yes I think Yahoo stopped delivering their service outside of the US which was a shame as the app relied on this data.
