Showing correct volume on TV and audio system

Hi all
This is my setup
TV: KDL-40HX803
Theatre system: BDV-E670W with two pairs of S-Air speakers

Problem:
I have had this set up now for about 3 years and absolutely love it but one thing that annoys me is the fact that when I have the audio speakers on the volume interface does not match up, for instance the TV might say volume 40 but the audio screen will say 18.

This only seems to do it when I use the TV remote, when I use the dedicated Audio controller it shows the correct volume on both TV and audio screen, is there a setting I need to change to get it to be right I know it's a small thing but annoying lol

Hi there

I have an AV Receiver and have the same issue where the volume indicator is differnt on the AV Reciever than the TV. A bit of a bug bear of mine too, but you do learn to accept thats the way it is.

Its probably that both devices volumes are different, and therefore display different.
