High pitched sound

Since yesterday our TV makes a high pitch sound.

It's not related to the speakers, as it stayes the same when I turn down the volume.

It seems to be comming from inside the TV.

Only when the video signal is stopped, e.g. switch to an unused HDMI input, does the

high pitch sound stop.

Any ideas?

It's a KDL-46EX711 model. About 7 years old.

Weird thing is that the past two days the TV worked without any problem.

Let's wait and see....
