Hi there,

My Sony TV (part number above) turned itself off last night with no warning. It always used to pop up that it was going into sleep/idle mode push a button to stop this, and so on... But this time it switches itself off and I can’t turn it on again. I’ve tried with 3 different remotes, the back of the TV, tried plugging it into a different socket, unplugging and leaving for 5 mins, still no life in the tele box. I also have no lights on at the screen... any ideas on how to fix this at home?

Hi there,

Welcome to the Sony Community.

It does sound as if the Energy Saving Switch is OFF, which would prevent your TV from turning on.

The Energy Saving Switch and Power button are typically located at the lower right side of your TV, at the back.

Can you check if this is the case?
