Hardly any sound volume when dvd player connected via scart

I have a Bravia KDL-49WE663 TV and when I connect my old DVD player via the AV scart connection there is hardly any volume from the TV speakers. Any suggestions please?

Hello @pete450,

since SCART is an analog connector, it could be that you can adjust the output volume on the DVD player seperately.

If said level is set low, you would need to turn your TV speakers up way more than if it were set higher on the player.

Problem sorted. It seems that all I needed to do was press the 'AUDIO' button on the remote and bingo, full sound. Have no idea why this worked as it was just a random button press. Anyway, working OK now, so thank you.
