Sony Smart TV "USB Safely Ejected" error.

I've had this problem for more than a year now but i originally give up. Everything and everyone online is/was completely useless (and this probably will be too) but basically awhile go when i first got my tv i had my usb stick to play films tv & display photos ect... it was working perfectly fine until i needed the usb stick for something else and i was short of a spare so i formatted it to use and had planned on putting everything back to how it was on my tv... come to do that it now no longer works its constantly recognising the device but saying "USB is safely ejected" and i cant get it to work. For a mere moment yesterday it was recognised (a new stick i was using) but i decided to format it by the Tvs request and since then my usb stick has been unusable... dont get me wrong works plays fine everywhere pc ect but not the F&^£&"& TV! im sick of it and i need help before i smash my tv and throw it out the window lol many thanks! ive tried exfat fat32 & nsfc or whatever its called and its the same issue.

Could you tell us the model number of the TV you have and the software version installed on it?

I had a similar problem.

USB HDD Formatted to eXFat – Not registered to Android TV

After ejecting HDD it will not now re-mount this HDD stating

USB Drive is safely ejected - other drives recognized - Drive is recognized on PC

I solved my problem as follows:

1. Windows File Explorer > Right Click <USB Drive> Properties > Tools > Error-checking > Check now > Check disk options > Automatically fix file system errors

2. Windows File Explorer > Right Click <USB Drive> Properties

I renamed the drive the TV now recognizes the WD drive.

I have not ejected the drive from the TV yet to see if this problem returns?
