Got this New Sony Xperia 10 IV 128GB, 5 days ago.
I´m all set and about to get going with my phone, excited to try all the functions, camera, etc.
But, there´s it a huge BUT... the batteri drains very quick by just laying there without me using it.
Now, this is very, very annoying!!
I´m in desperate need for this phone at work.
Need support, sugestions, help about what to do... please!
Thought this was a Super phone as I´ve done the research beforehand...!
Hi Falkphoto1,
Check these: https://helpguide.sony.net/mobile/xperia-10m4/v1/en/contents/TP0001866598.html?search=battery

Also, how long does it last? What is your average screen time?
I came here looking for answers for the same issue. Alas there appears to be a software issue that has occurred over the last month or so. My battery used to last nearly 2 days, but now I am lucky if I get 8 hours out of it and that's with very light usage.
If you search for it, it appears to be a recent issue with lots of xperia devices.
If you're saying that this is due to the latest firmware update then you better contact Sony to check this one, as maybe as you noted it could be a known fault in the new update.
Hi. I own one too. This excessive battery draining is not caused by the system being updated. The battery in this particular phone is incredibly long lasting. You should be getting two days heavy usage from a single charge. I presume you have activated all the battery saving measures in the settings as well as reducing screen brightness as much as possible, deleting unused apps and establishing which apps drain the battery the most. Try all of that if you have not already done so. Battery performance will disimprove regardless after one year but that happens with all phones .
Good luck !!
Quick fix:
"Try disabling play store, then long press on th[e blank icon] app, it should disappear. Then enable play store again"
Other solutions if the above doesn't work:
1. Factory reset
2. Software repair:
but note that with the above two you will need to backup all your data first as they will wipe your phone and you'll have to set everything up from scratch again!
