A550 first frame blank

For the last few months when I first switch my camera on and take a shot the first frame in most cases is blank. Does anyone know a cure or if there is a firmware update available. I have tried using different cards and it happens on both the SD and Duo cards.

Do you find that the problem occurs only when the camera has not been powered up for very long? On the other hand, does the problem occur when the camera has been switched on for a while?

This sounds more like a shutter problem. I recommend to contact the Sony service.
