Does HVLF43AM work with Sony A200?

Some forums say A200 and others start there list with A230. Is there a big difrence between A200 and A230? I have checked the on-line pdf Manuals and they look the same.

HELP PLEASE

The HVL-F43AM is fully compatible with DSLR-A230 and DSLR-A200.


PersonallyI would prefer the A200 because:

  • more ergonomic body (especially if you have larger hand)
  • remote release socket
  • uses larger NP-FM500 battery
  • stronger flash
  • slightly higher frame rate
  • can use battery grip


advantages A230

  • uses SD cards (A200: compact flash)
  • has HDMI output so easy to view images on HD TV
  • slightly faster focussing
  • smaller and more lightweight
