Hi
First time here & hope someone can help with the above problem (which I've only just noticed - oops), the files are there because I can see them in IDC and Windows Explorer, but they aren't showing in PMB which I use for sorting my photos & doing basic PP.
Anyone any ideas what's happening - I presume that they aren't recognised for some reason, but if Explorer can see them I would have thought PMB could ?
Yours hopefully
RT

Hi RT, welcome to the Sony Forums
PMB has been replaced with PlayMemoriesHome: http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/NEX-5N/downloads/pmhome
It might be enough for you, although it is intended for basic viewing and editing of jpegs, and some users find it lacks the control they need to do their raw files justice. Many opt for Lightroom or similar. Among free apps that handle Sony .arw files, I've heard good things recently about Picasa: http://download.cnet.com/Picasa/3000-2193_4-10160334.html
Hopefully something there will work for you.
Cheers

Thanks Mick
As I already had PMB installed from my A770 & A100 days I've got into a workflow (if that's the right word!) of importingthe RAW + jpeg files into PMB doing a basic sort/delete routine & then either basic PP in PMB or anything more ambitious I use the RAWS in Lightroom.
Frankly I don't really want to add a programme called PlayMemoriesHome onto my computer and have to start all over again ! Or as you suggest start a new workflow, which would be the other alternative.
I'll try asking Sony themselves & see what they say
Much appreciate your assistance
