NEX5 with LA-EA2

My NEX 5KB when fitted with the LA-EA2 will notrecognise any of my A/E lenses.

I tried this adaptor with a 'compatible' non-sony lens, but found the auto-focus did not work. There seems to be different levels of compatibility and so the adaptor only makes sense to people who already have these lenses rather than as an alternative to investing in new lenses.

Thamks for your message. My problem is that my lenses are Minolta E and Sony A which are those recommended for use with this adaptor.

Exchanged a number of messages with Sony support without a real answer to the problem.

Ah I see, that's tough. So you have all your lenses already and wanted to use them on the NEX body.

Luckily for me I had just one with my Cannon DLSR and decided to jump ship completely.

Annoying that you're not getting the response from support that you'd like, but my advice would be to assume that there is nothing they can do to make it work, so I'd return the adaptor as it does not do what it said it would (that's what I did and got full refund).
