hi i have a sony vaio windows home 7 64b i am unable to disconnect the drive by the eject to complete the installation, as it says that this drive cannot be ejected? Any ideas pls?
Hello
From time to time I hear about a 64 bit install of Windows that will not cooperate with these firmware and software upgrades. I have found that sometimes it is worth just getting hold of a 32 bit laptop from a friend or family member to perform the procedure - this isn't ideal but it can save a lot of hassle.
Having said all of this, are you saying that the icon to eject in the bottom-right corner of the screen isn't working? This should be regulated by Windows, and not have anything to do with other software that is running at the same time.
Thanks,
Simon
If the icon does not appear on the tray just select the drive from the windows explorer and choose "safe remove" from the right cllick menu.
