Sony Nex-6 Is this model 'Made in Japan'

Hi, I'm looking at getting my first NEX, the Nex-6, I know it not out yet. This would suit my needs, as I have ready have Canon 5D Mk lll and Nikon D600. But this would be ideal for the weight and safety when travelling aboard.

My simple question, does any one know if it's 'made in japan'. Just knowing this for me, confirms that I will definitely get it when it come out. Not so keen on their 'Made in China' products, for me sony don't seem to class them as their premium products.

Hello Andrew

I am unsure about the exact manufacturing location (Thailand/Japan/China) as usually different components are produced in different factories. There may be some more publically available information about this closer to the launch although it is worth bearing in mind that planned factory locations are subject to change due to weather conditions, economic conditions and even politics!
