Sony v I pad,'

Having problems with a Sony A 6300 trying to get it to connect up through the play memories app to my recently purchased I pad, try as I might thee tablet will not recognise the camera, had a Samsung tablet before and had no such problems, any advice please.?

Ok thanks for that, found out, due to you pointing me in right direction, that to get Play memories to recognise the camera you have to get the WiFi set up first using the Q code, them switch on the camera wi fi and let it search for the I pad , once this is done they connect up straight away, saves paying 30 odd pounds for a connection cable
