USB Connection - Mass Storage/MTP - Copy to external hard drive?

On some sony camcorders there is a Direct Copy feature that allows you to copy all internal media to an external usb hardrive - without the need for a computer.

Can this be done on the latest SLTs through the USB connection MTP/Mass Storage setting in any way?

Hi Tobias, welcome to the Sony Forums

Direct Copy is a feature of 2010 (and later) handycams. It's not built in to alpha/SLT cameras; mass storage is for connection to a PC and MTP is only really useful for direct connection to a printer.
