Hi, I have brand new 75" xf9005. Im using it as pc monitor. When viewing blank white screen, there is very slight blueish shadows being worst at the edges of the screen and particularry at left most corner. This surely isnt normal or is it? I cannot do much about it with settings etc and it gets worse if I dim the screen. This doesnt bother me when viewing movies or when playing, but its clearly showing when browsing web pages etc. I will add two pictures, first is non edited photo and the latter is over saturated to highlight the issue. What should I do?
Hi Panadoc,
Does this happen on all inputs? so if you are watching digital channels or when using the TV's built in Youtube to watch a video, do you still see these spots?
I'd recommend making sure the software of the TV is up to date as a general troubleshooting step. You can use this link: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-xf90xx_x90xxf-series/kd-75xf9005/download...

Yeah its on all hdmi inputs. Tv has updated itself via wlan. Guess the panel/backlight is broken.
Hi Panadoc,
I'd go back to basics here, try removing all external devices, power cycle the TV by unplugging the power from it for a minute. If all else fails, try a factory reset.

Hi, thanks for advices, but I dont have any other devices/cables than hdmi plugged and I have tried unplugging and changing hdmi port. Also, I tried soft and hard reset (factory reset), they had no effect.
Hi again,
I guess it all goes down to how visible it is when the room is not too dark (with normal ambient lighting conditions), and the brightness is not too high.
Could you maybe take another picture in those conditions and show us how it looks?

I saw pretty much the same red/blue spots when I was testing for uniformity. They were visible only on black background and looking at an angle. I guess that's normal. If you see them looking directly ahead you should maybe try massaging the display with a microfiber cloth:

I had some brighter spots when I received the TV and after careful massage they are almost gone now
Hi,
Wow, I didn't think that would ever work but I guess there's some truth to the myth. Glad to hear all is good now!
