Hard Reset Question

Trying to resolve post Marshmallow issues with my receiver.

I am advised by Customer Services that if I do a hard reset even unplugging my recording disk that previous recordings made on the receiver will be unavailable after this is done

Can Quinnicus or someone else confirm or otherwise this?

If so it's completely ridiculous. Surely the registration process isn't so daft as to do this?

Hi there

I am assuming that you need to factory reset the TV as advised by support due to some issues with your AV Receiver.  However you want to know if your TV recordings on your USB HDD will still be playable after doing so?  Is this correct?

If so, I can test this tomorrow for you?

May I ask what AV Receiver you have and what issues you are experiencing?  As I am curious if it matchs other issues that I have been hearing about.

Cheers

Hi

Registered HDD is not unregistered when TV is hard reset or firmware update is performed.

HDD remains registered inside a kind of Bios(service mode) and can be registered-unregistered both ways(OS or Service mode).

Do you mean DVB Receiver?
