Hi, first post here
I'm having an issue with my soundbar and tv when watching certain content (specifically with my blu-ray player). I have a Bravia KD-43XF8577 TV, Sony HT-SF200 soundbar & Sony UBP-X500 BD-player.
I was trying to watch Batman: The Animated Series which has a DTS Stereo audio track but playing any episode will simply lead to muted audio. In order to hear anything, I have to go into the blu-ray players audio setting and change the digital audio output to PCM instead of auto. I'm guessing this is because the soundbar doesn't support DTS pass-thru, only AC3, but is there any type of fix for this?
When playing E-AC3 content, the soundbar still works fine and I was hoping that would be the case for DTS as well (or at least have the TV/BD-player automatically switch to PCM audio when a DTS stream is detected). Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Mahir,
Welcome to the community.
There is a guide here for setting up your sound bar for DTS. Let us know if this helps at all.
Best wishes,
Ed
