Picture not sharp on K50S38BP

Bought and set up K50S38BP yesterday.  Picture when using HD channels or streaming is very sharp however on regular tv channels (not through HD) are not sharp.  Can anyone advise?

Standard Definition channels are never going to be as sharp as HD or 4K content,

regardless of what the sales blurb tells you.
