Managed after many unsuccessful efforts to get screen mirroring to work between my Sony KD-43830C and HP laptop running Win10. Problem is when I change the laptop display say from Home page to photo's the TV screen takes an age to update. Sometimes it just stays in a static state. Its as though the connection protocol functions OK but transfer of data from the Laptop over WiFi is either blocked or partially blocked. Does anyone have ideas on how this can be fixed. Could it be the WiFi at fault?

Hi dnicho.
I'd say try screen mirroring on the TV with a smartphone or any different device, if it works, then I'd recommend maybe posting this on the Microsoft community pages as it might be related to the windows version you are using,

Spent a good part of Monday trying different connection methods with Microsoft 1st & 2nd line without success. Win10 reinstalled with drivers and updates etc etc.The bottom line is wireless doesnt work between PC with Win10 and my Sony TV. So having to use an HDMI cable which works fine although not my preferred option
I have the same problem with a KD43XF7596 and windows... I've read through a couple of pages and watched a few test videos and its a common problem between android and windows what i see... I'm not sure since when people experiencing this problem but it would be highly appreciated if someone could solve this... It's a joke that a PC can screen mirror with a samsung tv but not with a sony.
I have a similar problem with my Dell pc.
Reading your replies you are highly likely to waste hours and hours and not resolve the problem.
Dell support goes to India and they have the most up to date support technicians with on going analysis.
Eventually they fixed it. It's not just software updates but considerably more complex.
