TV as a source disappeared as an option. Also Picture mode, brightness, power saving, wide mode and audio output have disappeared from quick settings as well.

I did a factory reset on the device.

TV as a source came back. The rest of the settings came back as well but only temporarily. Now they've disappeared again. I wish never did the update.

Is there any other way to try and fix the issue?

Am I stuck with a broken TV?

If you have already tried a factory reset (having unplugged all connections, HDMI etc.) then I would reach out to Sony Support Greece for assistance

Im afraid not my friend, many of us are in the same boat inc myself with symptoms you describe, especially sources. to all members, RESETTING your tv will not fix this issue as it is highly bugged firmware, you may get settings back temp, but when you turn your tv off they will vanish again.

I have found a temporary fix for the source input issue, its not a permament fix but for now its working for me,

When you are finished watching tv, bedtime, leaving the house etc etc, power off the tv as normal with the remote, then disconnect it from the power source (in my case the socket where its plugged in i just flick the switch to off position). When you are wanting to watch tv again, turn the power back on at the socket, wait about 30 seconds then power on tv via the remote, once loaded up select the source input you want to use and it should work.

This is the only thing that has worked for me this far.

Hi @graygerman What have Sony Support said to you? There must be a common component or reason why your TV has an issue while others, like my XR-55A95K has zero issues with the v6.8022 upgrade. I have always found Sony quick to pull an upgrade once they know there is a problem. When did you report your problem to Sony, as I see it is still available.

Naaaaa its Sony, i spoke to them last week and they said they were looking into it, didnt do anything about mine because i was unwilling to go through their usual gotos, ie, reset to factory, when we know already that isnt helping anyone, bugs reappear.

Im pretty sure us guys on here arent the only ones, there will be thousands of affected customers, its just a waiting game i think till an update finally appears.

I tried to get in touch the Sony Support Greece from the link below but whenever I try to submit the form, it gets to a blue circle loading. Is it a common issue with the Sony Support page?

Restarting the TV will usually fix this temporarily - The bug can be a bit stubborn, so restart one or twice by holding the power button on the remote, if settings still don't return then head into All Settings > System > Restart

Hit restart there one or two times and it Quick Settings should return.

These are intermittent issues - So you'll need to go through this process everytime unfortunately.
