i cant hear my caller (sound quality very poor

i just got my sony xperia e c1504 about 10 days ago

and the caller sound quality is so poor i can barly hear

them and it hasn't gotten better from day one,any ideas?:smileyconfused:

 

i have the the lastest updates a new sim card from t-mobile

jellybean 4.1.1

build# 11.3.a.2.23

model:c1504

it saays your phone already has the lastest available system updates.

everything else works great(i,e. sns..wifi,dlna,gps all work ok

just the caller sound quality.

Try another SIM card (of another carrier)

Try if issue is the same using headphones

Try to force 2g net

thanks for the help but i seem to have other problems with

calling ; i made a call this morning but now it says

    (mobile network not available)

honestly i'm not sure if i'm using wifi or hotspot connection

which should i use in the setting? to make a call all the time with no issues?

i have service...i can get online ;use skype and google hangout but sometimes it just making 

a simple phone call out; and incoming callthe same problem.

Do you mean a standard call or a VOIP call (that uses data connection or wifi)??

Do you have a red cross on the upper left side of the screen and/or 0 bars of signal?

Anyway go to

Settings>other>Mobile networks>Network operators>Set WCDMA(Preferred)/GSM

Settings>other>Mobile networks>Network operators: Set Select automatically
