I've had my XR-77A84K for one year and just purchased a A7000 soundbar to enhance the audio. I followed the instructions and connected the S-CENTER SPEAKER IN jack on the TV and the S-CENTER OUT jack on the A7000 with the TV center speaker mode cable (supplied) HOWEVER I'm now getting a horrible buzzing/white noise coming from the TV center channel.
After looking on many forums it seems this is a common problem for many users which is baffling! I contacted Sony Support and they told be they weren't aware of any issues! Strange as according to the forums they are changing many TV motherboards with other users to get round the issue (some are successful, some aren't?!)!
I want to avoid this motherboard swap as I'm now out of warranty on my TV and Sony tell me this is chargeable plus I don't want to really drag the TV back off the wall!
Can Sony shed some light on this please as you are quite clearly still selling products that don't work as advertised!
