HT-XT1 unable to read display from a couple of feet.

Hi, just joined the community and would like a bit of advice. Christmas I purchased a LG smart TV and a Sony Ht-xt1 to connect to my Sky+ box. Have tried different ways of connecting the three but always have a sound synchronise problem, still working on this but I have found that the display on the front of the sound stage seems really dim and cannot be read from a couple of feet away no matter what I try with the remote. Any advice please. Thanks

Have you checked the menu settings of the soundbar?

Any option to set the display brightness?

Thanks for the reply. Not much to adjust on the display menu other than on/off or night mode. What I have done in the end is reset back to the factory settings and this seems to improve the display. Don't know if you know anything about ht-xt1 sound via a sky+ box but when I try to watch a recorded Movie I have to have to volume turned right up to hear the dialogue which means any effect sound shakes the house. Live programmes seem to be OK. Have got the Sky box connected via HDMI to TV and then to sound stage via optical. Thanks
