HT-CT790 & TCL Roku TV: No Menu, No Sound, No Joy
I received the HT-CT790 Sound Bar for Christmas 2 months ago. I connected it as per the quick start suggestions included in the packaging.
The cable is from the wall to the cable box.
The cable box is HDMI connected to the TV.
The TV is HDMI connected to the sound bar, from the TV's HDMI ARC to the soundbar's HDMI OUT port.
For 2 months, it worked perfectly. Now, there is no sound, except for occasional 1-2 second bursts then more silence.
I replaced the HDMI cable between the HDMI ACR port and the soundbar, to no avail.
Additionally, the HOME menu has never appeared on my TV.
I am not tech savvy in this arena, and would appreciate any and all help that you can give me.
Hi there
If it worked before, it stands to reason it should work again
Try going through these instructions:

But its most likely you might need to break things down to its most simplest way. Just have the HT-CT790 connected to the TV via HDMI-ARC and see if you can output sound correctly... See the advanced part in the link above.
Also ensure HDMI-CEC (and/or HDMI-ARC) features are enabled in the TVs settings. And Control for HDMI is enabled on the soundbar.
Cheers
