Hi there,
i'm still a proud user of an Sony Erricson K800i, and i want to keep using it for the next time.
Since several days the telephone shows a white screen only. But it seems to work flawlessly. I can control the phone normally by my PC and i can operate the phone like usual (keys & screens out of my mind, without display, i can even call people and take calls...).
Many internet forums call this as known eprom bug, which can be fixed by re-flashing the firmware. Unfortunately most links & references within these forums are offline nowadays (even within this forum).
I've already tried to:
All without sucess, the screen is still white.
This seems to be a known problem, how may i fix it now?
Phone details:
Sony Erricson K800i, Firmware R8BF003 EUROPE_2
The only tool i still found online is called XS++, here is some more information from it:
Platform: DB2020, OTP CID: 51, EROM CID: 53, EROM Color: Red, IMEI: 35975701xxxxxx, Phone ID: K800, Region: EUROPE_2, CDA: CDA102511/4 R11A, Firmware Version: R8BF003, EROM: R3A022
I know, that the phone is not part of the xperia support.
I'm not asking for a hardware repair and i don't want to report a firmware bug.
I just want to get the firmware and some tool i can flash my eprom with, what hopefully will solve my problem.
I already made a support request to the xperia contact center and got following answer (Service Request: 1-32978368390):

Ihr Gerät wird leider nicht mehr unterstützt. Trotzdem könnten Sie unsere developers kontaktieren um die Flash Software zu bekommen.

That's the reply from the german xperia support team. Translated into english:

Unfortunately your device isn't supported anymore. But you can contact our developers to get the flash software.

Thats all i'm trying to do here.
Solve a problem, which has been solved many many times before (because this seems to be a known bug), but wherever i'm trying to search, all resources are offline nowadays.
How else may i get in contact with the "developers" like the xperia support team advised me to?
I already sent an e-mail to developer.world@sonymobile.com, too. But didn't get a reply yet.
Kind regards
