temporary fix for blurred image. camera lens cover scratching. etc

Like you, I was also suffering from blurred images, faded images and focusing problem in my xsp due to the scratches on my camera lense cover. Actually it is not the scratches on your camera glass. But those scratchess are made on a coating provided over the glass by Sony. That coating may peel off within few months. Today I cleaned the residues of that peeled off coating by using a cloth and spray containing alcohol. Now the glass become clean. No scratch like appearances. And the camera focuses very sharply. No blurr. No fade. No focusing problem. Soooooo happy

Hi c3na. U can see the bluish colour coating on the rear camera covering glass with naked eyes. It lookes like scratches on the glass. Actually those scratches are made on the coating. Not on the glass. So by removing the coating, u can see the clear glass behind it. I dont know there is any coating on new phones. My device is 9months old one. Bought from india

U r right netto. One picture is taken with perfectly clear app and other one is stock camera. Both have noise. I think third party apps have no effect on image quality. May the sensor is a cheap one

C3na. I saw ur private msg in mail. I usually use manual mode. I adjust exposure according to ambient light condition. Focus mode:touch focus. First focus the object by half pressing and holding the camera button, when the camera focuses sharply i press the remaining half too. OR press and hold the capture button on screen, when u feel the focus is sharp, remove your fongger from sceen. Usually only close up pics feels good.

Hello, I am using Xperia SP since last one year, had problems after 4.3 update then I had to seek help from authorized Sony service center n degraded to 4.1 version. Again I upgraded to 4.3 after lots of review hoping Sony has resolved all the problems. Will let you know if I face any problem. Right now I am disappointed with pictures taken from this mobile. Other mobile having same quality of camera captures awesome photos n mine is totally useless in comparison to them. So I can't even use my mobile to click photographs in front of my friends. I tried everything possible by going through setting n trying different modes but none of them helped. So please help me... I want pictures like Samsung galaxy grand.

My phone is also around 8 months old. I have the blue coating on my rear camera. Is that have to do anythihng with this blurry images? I read about the lens that is used in Xperia SP. I have also seen some good quality pics that were taken in SP. But my phone's pic quality is not to that level. Is there any lens difference in different batches of the phone ? I bought Xperia SP particularly for its camera. Now I have no idea how to solve this problem. Slightly_frowning_Face

Hi C3nA, maybe you can order lens from third party. I bought from  since my lens is stracht because I was trying to peel the coating. My Xperia SP doesn't have coating.

So far my camera quality is fine with that lens.
