Why does my phone keep losing its Wi-Fi connection

My phone keeps losing Wi-Fi connection when my previous Sony phone didn't when I sit in same seat in my home. The only difference is the phone.What has Sony done to the new phones

Speaking for myself, I do not have any battery enhancement apps or features active. I have checked all the tips in the Wi-Fi FAQ and tried other access points.

I am certain this is an issue with the model of phone, I read either here or elsewhere that someone who had rooted their phone found that Sony had set the db level for staying connected quite low and had modified the threshold himself to much improvement. 

I am not willing to hand my phone over to the support team as I truly believe this is a model issue, not just my phone.

Seems to be Sony's trade mark. I used to have 2 different SE's so far and each one of them had this problem.

This is not a valid solution. None of the steps in the linked page are a proper fix to the fact the Sony Xperia SP will just drop wi-fi for seemingly no reason. I have tested with different routers, on different channels, with static and dynamic IP addresses, etc. The Xperia SP will just drop wi-fi altogether even with a good signal and the user has to turn wi-fi off then on to re-establish a connection.

The link provided is merely the common problems and solutions for stated issue. Since none of the solutions works, send phone to your local service centre for examination.

I agree with Kaiser_Soze's post. Poor useless wifi seems to have become Sony's unwritten trademark. The worse part is that their updates will only make things worse.

all the xperias sp have this problem, dont send it to a sony centre. its a waste of time cuz the problem will persist. Sony has to fix via software, but didnt do during the last 3 updates. so
.. will sony fix this? we cant know cuz sony dont reply in this forum. regards!

Just to clarify, do any of you have any battery enhancement app's or features activated? Such as Extended standby or Stamina mode?

Otherwise if you have checked all the tips in the Wi-Fi FAQ topic and also tried using another AP I suggest that you contact your local support team to have your phone examined and fixed at a repair center.

Just put the battery in "Stamina mode", turn off then turn on your screen, problem solved.

This is the only decent working solution I've found so far.
