Xperia GO has no network signal(no service)

xperia go has no network signal and I need to reboot my phone to be able have a network signa.

I am sure this not a sim card or a network provider problem because in my previous phone I never experienced this problem.

This is so annoying I missed a lot of calls.

Is this bug on the firmware of XPERIA 2012 Family?

You can see the red x mark at the top of signal bars indicating that there is no signal.

Hi, I was facing this issue 29 July 2012. My Xperia Go was used to drop signals every 15 mins or more often.

This morning I got a s/w update (version 6.0.B.3.184) from Sony. It has been more than 4 hours and signals have not dropped even once. I guess Sony has fixed the issue in this update. If this is the case, it is a good news for all xperia go users. Please update your s/w version and check if this is working for you too.

Hi Sony,

My problem is already resolved however the battery life of my phone after the upgrade is affected. Now my phone only last for only 18 hours(8 hours in standby mode) with minimal use. I think you need to develop a new update

if the only solution resulted in a big loss of batterey life. then it is most certainly a hardware issue as all they have done is to pump up the power going to the antenna. obviously the waterproofing case has muffled the antenna.

I too am suffering from network connection problems. I am re-booting the phone two/three times a day to re-connect to the network. Dissappointing to see a lack of response here from Sony. Connecting to a networkto make calls is a BASIC function of a mobile fun. All those other features on my new smartphone arealso useless if I cannot connect to a network! Come on Sony....what are you doing to fix this? I will be returning the phone soon if this doesn't get sorted.

I too am suffering from network connection problems.

I have version 6.0.B.3.162 and I would like to upgrade to 6.0.B.3.184.

but when I check for updates from my phone, or from Sony PC Companion, or Update Service,

this tells me that I have the latest version of the software.

What should I do to update?

Hello uweb, Please upgrade your phone to 6.0.B.3.184. It should certainly solve your issue of network problem. I did the same and it is working fine for me.

Dear Sindikato, I think for now we should be thankful to Sony for releasing something that has turned our dumb phones(without network) into working ones. Though it is at the cost of battery life, let us hope the ICS upgrade should not have such issues. Fingers crossed!!!

I must disagree Abhinav, why should we be thankful that we spend a lot of money on what appears to be such a cool and good product and it doesn't even fulfill its basic role: making phone calls.

Thankful of having missed calls? Thankful that the specs you bought your phone to are no longer the same?

The battery duration was advertised to last a certain amount of time, which is one of the specs for which you and I bought this phone, now, the battery lasts much less, but you wont be getting a partial refund for the specs that are partially met...

If you buy a car, are you crossing your fingers that the brakes work? Common, Sony should be doing more rigourous testing instead of trying to put partial-faulty products in the market every 6 months.

I have the same problem with my Xperia GO...

suddenly it looses all 2G and 3G network... and sometimes, when I wake up the phone it has no signal and it asks for my PIN code, somes twice :S

I have updated my phone to the 6.0.B.3.184., but I still have the same problem.

Having the same issue. Its a nightmare only had the phone 2 weeks and have to keep rebooting. Its worse that I dont know when its lost its signal without checking so can be left for hours not rerecieving calls unaware its lost its signal. Its the most basic function of a phone and it fails. I dont want to put my phone on ebay just to pass the probem onto some1 else I have a concience, I hope sony do 2 and sort it properly
