Albums/Folders from PC on Bravia TV

Just bought a 40" Bravia LCD, and have it wired into our home PC network.

I can view pictures from the PC by accessing through Photos/Media player/Folders, But I have a couple of Photos/Media player/Albums too.

Why are they accessed differently? How can I change from one to the other?

Thanks 🙂

What software are you running on your PC to enable the streaming? I would recommend Serviio as ts free and is much loved on these forums as it features a BRAVIA mode to ensure good compatibility with files and formats etc.

Don't forget you have to view Photos via the photo tab, music via the music tab etc despite the different icons being visible in all tabs..

Thanks

Streaming software? I'm just using Windows 7, shared all the relevant folders, and allowed media player to sync with the tv! I seem to get fully functioning sharing from it. I can view photos and videos anyway.

This streaming software will enable me to do what? Sort things better? View more efficiently?

I'll have a read up on Serviio though aswell thanks.

Yeah I guessed that would be the case within the different tabs. I don't seem to get videos showing in photos and vice versa anyway.

 Sorry, not trying to confuse you! I guess if you haven't installed anything specific then you are just using Windows Media Player, which is ok (jack of all trades master of none). Serviio is dedicated streaming software so the file format support is far better and it has profiles designed for Sony so should result in a better experience..

Thanks

No worries, I wasn't confused so much as surprised it worked!

I had a read up of that serviio last night, will have another look today and see if there's any major differences. Anything that will allow the parents to understand it better! 🙂

Will this solve my issue in terms of organisation of items?
