Can I use a Bravia KDL 40V4000 from UK in USA

I know if I use a digital Satellite TV box from the country of origin I will have no problem viewing channels. But how about the electricity supply? can I just use a 3 pin to 2 pin plu convertor or do I need a voltage up/down box regulator?

Hello

As you suggest, the UK set will be set-up for 240 while the US is obviously 110, so you cannot simply change the plug...well you can but it really isn’t a very good idea 😉 especially if you still want a working product

Another common issue I see with folk moving from one country to another is to do with transportation.  These large glass panels do not travel well.

It’s a great TV, and I can understand why you would want to take it with you, however given the above, and the fact its internal tuner will be useless, I would recommend, if you can, that you buy a US specific model once you are out there and leave/loan or sell this current model before you go.
