dlna problem - all folders are empty

I seem to have a problem with my sony kdl-40nx800. I wan't to access pictures, mp3 and videos from my NAS (iomega Home Media Drive) using dlna. The NAS do appear in my home menu on the TV, but when i try to access the content of the drive all the folders are empty. I get a message like: No elements to show (direct translated from Danish).

I have tried to install TVMOBiLi for my mac. Same result; it connects fine but the folders are empty.

I have different file types in the folders. Most of my pictures are JPEG. Still I can't manage to show any content on my TV using dlna...

Anybody have any idea how to solve this problem?

Hmm - jpegs are normally the easiest one for BRAVIA to show, so I suspect the fault is not on the TV, possibly somewhere in the network configuration. Have you tried Serviio on your Mac as many users report this being the best DLNA server for BRAVIA.

Other thing is that you can only view jpegs if you are browsing via the photo tab, not via any of the other tabs like music or video for example...

Maybe check and see if there is a update for your router too?

Thanks

I have the same problem.

On my PC (Windows XP Sp3) all pictures in all directories are visible, but when I want to view them on the KDL46-HX805 in some directories the message is nothing to display, in some I can view the pictures.

Network drive from Iomega

I hope that the sony support team will show up with a solution.

Or has anybody already solved this??

Can you clarify if you are using a NAS or a PC as your message isn't clear. Don't forget you have to browse video files via video tab, music via music etc...

Have you tried using Serviio or similar as per the above note?
