MY TV KEPT CUTTING SOUND, ONLY WAY TO RETURN WAS TO TURN OFF AT WALL ALONG WITH VIRGINMEDIA NICE YOUNG MAN FROM VIRGINMEDIA CAME - LUKE - BY THIS TIME GOING NUTS, THINKING ALL SORTS OF THINGS. WE ONLY BOUGHT THIS TV ONE WEEK AGO. LUKE TOLD ME THAT THIS 'FAULT' IS ON ALL NEW WIDE SCREEN TV'S. ALL HE DID WAS TO 'SWITCH OFF' ALL THE 'POWER SAVING' THINGS ON THE TV, AND TOUCH-WOOD IT IS ALL FINE NOW. HE GETS CALLED OUT ABOUT THE ABOVE A GREAT DEAL. THE INSTRUCTION BOOK DOES NOT MENTION THE 'POWER SAVING' BITS ON THE TV.
I HAVE SEEN THAT A HUGE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AS ME, SO, DO WHAT LUKE DID, AND SWITCH OFF THE EXTRA BITS!

But you never did respond to my previous posts about what model TV you had. Its hard to help anyone without one of the most basic things - model number.
