Sony Bravia KDL-40W705C - On Timer Not Showing Inputs

Hi, I have a couple of KDL-40W705C TVs that are used to broadcast a certain content from devices connected via HDMI/MHL. I want to set the TV to start at a certain time and turn off after a certain time. Found the option in the menu, but I can't select Inputs. I can only select which program to start on, so consequently the TVs will always start with the Antena Input, whilst i need them to start on HDMI/MHL. How can I do this? I've attached a photo of the menu.20180927_155204.jpg

Hi there,

Welcome to the Sony Community.

Please see more details on setting the 'on timer' here

If you're still having an issue can you make sure you firmware is up to date.

Best wishes,

Hi Sean,

Yes, thank you i am aware on where the menu is and how it works. The firmware is up to date as well.

Yet, there is no option to select any other input than channels for the TV, whilst i need it to start on HDMI/MHL as input.

Thanks

Hi again,

Is this issue you are experiencing just started recently or has always been the case?

Best wishes,

I don't know. I believe it has always been like this. The need came up just now.

Hi MoLoCEL,

It seems like this is the way this feature was implemented in the TV so there isn't an option to run on automatically to an external input.
