Sony KDL50WF665 TV doesn't have an EPG reminder

Yesterday I bought a new Sony TV and everything else works fine, but it doesn't have an EPG reminder. To me, the reminder is one of the most important features, and I don't understand why it was removed. Will Sony update the EPG reminder back to firmware or do I have to change to another brand?

firmware: v8.464-1000-1.700-0000

As far as I am aware, this feature is not available on the TV.
