Text intput on KDL-32EX403U

I have a kdl32ex403u sony TV - Works OK but on internet TV I can not input text such as web address or searching youtube video. Numbers are fine but no text, it is there on the remote control but can I make it put text on the screen!!!!! No way, am I doing something wrong?

There is no web browser on the TV, but you can search YouTube videos pretty easily. Pressing the round middle button in the centre of the remote should pull up the keyboard when you are in the search window.

Many thanks, did not know about the keyboard so will give it a try when I get home - that is what I wanted to do as there are some good things on youtube that would look great on this television. Seems to be a bit thin on detail in the on board maual.
