TV signal lost when Humax turned off

This is quite long so apologies for that

Yesterday when I turned my TV on it said no signal so I went into the program guide and all the channels were listed as no event information.I then went to do a digital re-tune which normally finds about 145 channels this time it did not find any.I then decided to see if the Humax box had the same problem so turned it on.When I turned it on The TV then got it's signal back I then turned the Humax off again and the TV lost it's signal again .So I am unable to watch the TV if the Humax box is turned off. This has only just started to happen.I have made no changes to the setup or to the Humax or TV set.The TV is a Sony KDL-42W653A and the Humax is a HDR-1800T.I have five devices connected for which I use two three way HDMI Hubs.Hub 1 is plugged into HDMI 2 input and has 3 devices connected to it hub 2 is connected to HDMI 1 and  has 2 devices connected to itI could try and move some of them around but not sure if that word make any difference.Any advice appreciated

Hi @muffin1947. If I am reading that correctly you are not getting Freeview channels using an aerial if the Humax box is off. So the obvious question is the aerial passing through the Humax box?  What happens if you plug the aerial directly into the TV? This could mean the signal is not passing through the Humax box when it is left in standby. This could mean your Humax box may be faulty so you need to contact Humax for a solution. Please note the Humax box must be left in Standby for an aerial to pass through. Switching it off at the mains will stop the signal.

I have just plugged the aerial lead directly into the TV and it works fine. When you say the Humax must be in standby is it in standby when the red light is showing.

Hi @muffin1947. Sorry I cannot help you with Humax. However there is only three states, 1. On, 2. Off in Standby still connected to the mains and 3. Off disconnected from the mains. If it is 2. then you need to contact Humax support https://uk.humaxdigital.com/support/?category_id=12&product_id=1185?category_id=12&product_id=1185 and tell them that your aerial has stopped passing through the box. This is a Sony help forum and your problem is with Humax.

I seemed to have solved the problem by going into settings on the remote selecting power management then power saving in standby which was turned on so I turned it off and that seemed to work.
