Can someone please advise what are the supported usb playback formats and resolutions for the KDL-40HX803. I am trying to encode a 1080p video to play via the USB but cannot find the right encodign settings,
Have you checked that your USB device is compatible?
Thanks, I found the directory structure and file info you posted. Anyway, to your question about is the USB device compatible, I can use the USB device to view pictures and play music. I can also load a low resolution MPEG1 files a view then, regardless of the directory structure mentioned.
However when I try and create MP4 file I get the message that the fie is unplayable. For example I have a file which uses the H264 codec, video bit rate 30374K video size 1920*1080 24P and the Audio Codec is mpeg4acc. From what I have read AVCHD is H264. So is the answer that one cannot play back high resolution (HD) files via the USB or I have just not stumbled upon the right settings for the file content? I think I am going to wear out the USB socket before I find the solution
Find attached compatible formats with extensions for USB Bravia.
