Playing around with my new Bravia which stated on the box thad it is DivX certified, and it does play both DivX and XviD encoded files but it is very pixelated. If I hook up my PC to the TV via HDMI the XviD looks fine. I know I shouldn't expect great quality playing these files on a 46 inch screen, but there's definitely something wrong with the way the TV decodes XviD/DivX.
Anyone else experience this and know of any workarounds?
Thanks
Martin
edit: found out that the TV does NOT play DivX or XviD, it was Windows Media Player that was re-encoding the files I were streaming on the fly. This explains why it looked so bad.

Maybe try a different transcoder as well like PS3 Media Server or Serviio. It will play Divx via USB (FAT32) but not natively over DLNA, thus you'd need a decent transcoder..
