DUO 11 e la penna in dotazione

Ho acquistato il Duo 11 e installando la suite grafica COREL X6 ho scoperto che il set, pur essendo a 64 bit e funzionando bene, non riconosce la penna in dotazione come "PENNA SENSIBILE ALLA PRESSIONE"... cosa che, ho scoperto in seguito, non avviene neanche con Adobe Photoshop

Da quello che vedo e leggo la penna ha tutti i requisiti per poter essere utilizzata in questo modo... e il video può comportarsi come una tavoletta grafica professionale.

Pertanto chiedo:

E' NECESSARIO UN DRIVE SPECIFICO? (Corel X6 nasce prima del duo11)

ESISTE UN AGGIORNAMENTO CHE RISOLVE IL PROBLEMA?

Non è escluso che l'ultimo recente aggiornamento di Corel DRAW (6.3) possa risolvere, per scoprirlo occorre essere in possesso di un iscrizione CorelDRAW Premium, unica possibilità per ricevere l'aggiornamento stesso.

Non sono nella posizione di poterti rispondere, occorrerebbe comunque verificare quale, tra software e penna, è la reale causa del problema.

Potrebbe altresì trattarsi di un scelta, sulla pagina descrittiva del VAIO Duo 11, in riferimento alla penna stilo Digitizer, si legge (Nota 2):

Disponibile solo su certe applicazioni quali OneNote (versione di prova fornita in dotazione) e Note Anytime for VAIO (gratis per VAIO® Duo 11 con installazione richiesta).

Sarebbe davvero allucinante avere a disposizione una penna sensibile alla pressione sullo schermo e dover utilizzare una tavoletta grafica per disegnare...

Ma non c'è nessun tecnico dell'azienda in grado di poter fornire una risposta tangibile?

Ho commesso un errore escludendo Microsoft e Windows 8 dalle possibili cause, sembrerebbe trattarsi di un "limite" delle attuali API del Touch, al link una discussione nella Community americana di Sony (risposta N. 29 del Moderatore PatrikK😞

My name is Pat Kennedy and I work for the Sony Support USA Team. I'm very sorry to hear about the troubles you are experiencing with your digitizer stylus and Adobe Photoshop®. At this time we are unable to assure compatibility of Adobe Photoshop with the SVD11215CXB.

We are committed to improving product and service quality from the customer's viewpoint and our most important goal is to remain a highly trusted partner for you, our customer.

We are currently working diligently with the Sony Engineering Team and Photoshop® to develop a resolution to this issue. This is not a defective condition and is related to a normal technological variance.

Unfortunately, the digitizer stylus supplied with the unit was not designed for use with Adobe but we are researching the issue.

The Touch and Pressure sensor is controlled by the Windows Touch API. Microsoft has introduced new API (methods) to allow applications to access these methods and properties to control touch and pressure. It is the function of the developer from Adobe to access these API programmatically. If the pressure is not functioning correctly then there is an issue between the application and Windows Touch API. Sony is wholeheartedly committed to finding a solution for our valued customers.

There are no updates available as of now.

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Nei requisiti per Corel DRAW Graphics Suite X6 è richiesto "mouse o tavoletta grafica"

Secondo me è un po' insolito chiedere ad un produttore di PC, sviluppare driver specifici, compatibili con un programma software. Di solito, ma non sempre, è il contrario. Sono gli sviluppatori del SW ad adattarsi con i driver esistenti o proporre driver specifici e cooperare per la loro compilazione.
