how can i restore my photos after having to restore computer system

Is there anyway to restore my photos after having to restore computer back to factory settings. can anyone tell me if they are still in my laptop anywhere?

I assume that you have no backup of personal data on removable media?

Restoring to factory settings formats the hard drive as part of the process. Data files may still be on the hard drive, assuming they have not been overwritten by the reinstall, but recovering them will require sophisticated software or the services of a company that can perform this service. Either way it will be expensive.

A painfull lesson that we should all keep regular backups of personal data.

Try using RECUVA, is a free recovery tool from Piriform.

Once you have selected to recover picture files select DEEP SCAN, it is probably to save the latest pictures.
