No display and intermittent Display on PGM -61611M

Display problems on my PGM-61611M ( VPCEE2E1E/W!

I turn my laptop and have no display. The unit boots up ok, but there is no picture.

I restart the machine several time, finally I get a picture.

Restart the machine......and have the same routine.

I have changed the screen power invertor and on doing so.the device display appeared first time.

Rebooted the machine and no display.......same scenario..........several reboots for screen to appear.

Fitted old screen invertor...machine booted up........restarted the machine.and again no display.

All connections are firmly in place.

Can anyone, offer and advice ?

Hi Derek and welcome to the Sony Users Community.

Unfortunately, it seems nobody has had a similar problem.  It is an unusual one as the problem appears to be solved by a reboot - until the next time.

Does the same problem happen when connected to an external screen?
