Can anyone help i purchased a sony vaio ultrabook SVT1311X9ES around 7 days ago and the webcam has never worked, i am using preinstalled webcam companion 4 software but i get the message webcam not found i am running pre installed windows 7 pro 64bit, i have even tried the camera in Skype but it acts like no camera is installed.
I can see from the internet there have been past problems with the webcams i have updated all latest drivers from sony website and tried all information on the web but still no luck. I can see in device manager that there is a unknown device under USB controllers with a yellow triangle exclamation mark, i have tried to update the driver but it tells me the best driver is being used, i have even tried uninstalling the hardware but it again installs incorrectly and wont function.
Does anyone have any idea on how to get the camer a working, the camera installed is a HD camera for pc by Exmor
