Just get lines down the screen when attempting to boot, is graphics card replaceable on this model?

Unfortunately the graphics chip is soldered to the mother board so is not replaceable..

Are you sure it's the graphics chip.?

Try connecting your Vaio to an external monitor, do you still have the same problem.?

Do you get the same lines when in safe mode.?
