wx1000 Sony noice cancelling headphones wireless

I have recently bought the wx1000 wireless noice cancelling headphones. I fully charged them for four hours and then topped them up once. I came to recharge them yesterday as they were flat and the charger isn’t making contact fully it seems . When I plug the charger in the red light comes on but only for a few seconds. What do you recommend
