Does anyone know if I can pair a Bluetooth headphone with sony KDL50W829BBU - I found BT settings under system settings - but trying to pair the headphone the TV doesn't find it, maybe I miss something? If that's not an option, is there any way other way I can connect headphones to the TV without having wires dangling all over my living room?
Thanks in advance

Have a read of the reviews on this one :

It seems to be able to do what you want. On the face of it anyhow.
Hello as promised - I tried the transmitter http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00Z61YAAE - which has a 35mm standard audio jack - that can be connected to the audio out on the back of the TV - then pair it with any BT compatible headset, go to the sound settings on the sony Bravia and switch the sound output to headphone, select the switch TV sound off when connected to headphone option, and hey presto, you have the TV's sound flowing nicely to the headphones - problem sorted 🙂
Hi there
Unfortunately you cannot connect BT headphones to the TV. Only BT mice can be paired to the TV for web browsing purposes. See: http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/14HE468111/EN/c_gset_bluetooth.html
You would need a pair of wireless headphones if you dont want wires draping everywhere. Such as:

Hi there
Wireless headphones generally connect to a wiresless base station - which connects to the tv ia a wire to either the headphone socket to the tv or in one case an optical cable (MDR-DS6500). You can use any branded wireless headphones.
I have the MDR-DS6500 mentioned above and they are truely excellent :
i have heard some really good reviews of the Sennheiser range too:

Hope this helps

Thats ok.
That link is for a car transmitter for connecting a phone to your car stereo - wont work for a TV im afraid.
But i have seen some on Amazon, but to be honest i dont really know how it works as ive not looked into it. Best to search around and read the reviews too.
