I'm having an issue where my media volume is changing when I connect to my bluetooth headset and my car stereo. This occurs in safe mode, so it seems to be a system app. In short, once a bluetooth device is connected, the media volume changes to a level that was used when a bluetooth device was last connected. Once the device disconnects, the volume changes back to the level before the device was connected. This is not what I want to happen. I control volume via Tasker and I don't want some unknown app (system or otherwise) controlling it. I've looked at a bug report and can see when the volume is changed, but I can't figure out what is controlling the changes. Does anyone know what would be controlling this or what to look for in the bug report to determine what it is? Here's the relevant line from the bug report:
vol.Events: writeEvent level_changed STREAM_MUSIC 2
Has anyone else seen this issue when they connect bluetooth devices?
In the interest of providing as much detail as possible, I'm running 7.0, build 34.2.A.2.69 on MetroPCS in the USA. I'm having the issue with the Soundpeats Q9A headset and my Kenwood KDC-X994 car stereo.
Not sure if it's what you have, but I notice sometimes when I connect BT headphones (1 Sony/NFC, 1 Generic) and wired earbuds - I get a low volume which then gets charged up a few moments later - the rocker doesn't move, just the overall volume.
Not sure about the consistency of this either...

That might be related. What do you mean that the rocker doesn't move? Are you saying that you're not pressing the volume up/down buttons?
