Brooke my phone, is there a backup?

Hi, I broked my phone, completely. I'm now trying to get all my photos back, but I'm not sure if there is a backup somewhere. My Xperia X Compact seemed to upload allot of data now and then, so I have just assumed that all my photos were backuped somewhere online. I have visited my google-account without finding anything and now I'm not sure where to look. Is the photos uploaded by default of the Xperia x to a backup somewhere? If so, where do I find my backup?

Thank you!

Hi @Micke4, very sorry to hear about what has happened to your Xperia X Compact. Slightly_frowning_Face

If you have an SD card in your phone and you have changed the data storage setting in the Camera application so all photos and videos are saved directly to your SD card you can find them there.

The Google photo application always have an inbuilt automatic backup to your Google account (this is disabled by default), however if you have enabled this feature, go to photos.google.com in a web browser and log in with the same Google account that you have in your phone and you can find your photos on this website.

Let me know if that helps!

@Micke4 what do you mean with "broke" - is it the display? You may want to do what @Jonas advised. If the problem is just the display be advised you could try to connect your phone via ADB and trying to download the content of your pictures in your computer. A competent mobile phone repair shop can do this for you assuming that the damage is just "superficial" and the core of the device still works.

Broke, as in pieces, small pieces. So unfortunately it will not be possible to connect the phone to a computer. Thank you anyway!

I understand, then I'm afraid you won't be able to get any information out of the phone using any of our programs.

You weren't able to find any of your photos on photos.google.com either?
