Double tap to wake

The feature double tap to wake up is not working properly on my phone!! Any other bad experience with it?!?!

I had this problem and solved it by simply setting my cover selection to "No Cover". This has been confirmed by another user on Reddit.

I suspect there is a bug when there is no default setting under Settings - Display - Cover Selection. Without this set, the OS doesn't know how the screen is being woken up. The fact that you can't unset this setting once an option is selected makes me think it's not intended to be unselected.

Android 7.1.1

Settings -> Display -> Cover Selection

Having said that, I've found my fix doesn't seem to work in the latest version.
