I've just recently sent my phone back to sony to have it repaired for an echo issue on my X compact. It only effects the person on the other end of the line getting constant complaints of they can hear themselves back as they speak.
Anyway got the phone back yesterday and sony said the repair company changed "speaker phone component". Now I have been testing it all last night and this morning by calling various mobiles and landlines and the problem is still there!!. I'm sick of this phone now its been back twice to sony and still giving me problems!. What to guys any ideas?

Please take some time to read my posts i've described the problem you are facing in as much detail as possible and took literally every step to try and solve it without taking the phone apart.
Phone ended up going back to Sony three times where they changed the motherboard , speaker and finally the mic which didn't solve anything. I won't go into the details of it as its all above if you want to read but its a shame as I really liked the phone but the incompetence of Sony and the company they use to repair phones caused me to end up selling the device.
Please try the steps that Jonas from Xperia support as suggested , also try to boot up the phone in safe mode and make few calls and receive few calls and see if that changes anything. If nothing works your only option will be to send the phone for repair. Hope you have better luck then I did , let us know what happens
